Description
The Secondo wine from Cantina Castello di Solicchiata is a high-quality red wine, produced in the Sicily region of Italy. Belonging to the Terre Siciliane IGT denomination, this wine is obtained from a selection of vines, with 80% Cabernet Franc, 10% Cabernet Sauvignon and the remaining 10% Merlot. The production area of ​​this wine is located in Etna Vesante South West, a region characterized by volcanic soil which gives the wine a unique and distinctive character. The vinification takes place in French oak vats, while the refinement takes place for a period of 24 months in barrique and subsequently for 36 months in the bottle, allowing the wine to develop complexity and harmony. 

Secondo wine has an intense and deep color, accompanied by a complex and enveloping aromatic bouquet. On the palate, notes of ripe fruit, spices, and light hints of vanilla stand out, given by the aging in wood.
This wine pairs perfectly with a variety of dishes, including cured meats, mature cheeses, first courses, red meats, and game.
