Alvaro Palacios is a wine producer most famous for its Garnacha-based wines from Priorat. Established in 1990 by Alvaro Palacios himself, the winery has been forefront of Priorat's rise to fame as one of Spain's most prestigious wine regions.

After spending time working at Petrus in Pomerol, he bought his own vineyard in the then obscure region of Priorat, where the steep, slate-based hillsides covered in gnarled bush vines had been forgotten about in the second half of the 20th Century. Palacios soon grew his estate and now owns several vineyards in the area.

The 2023 Alvaro Palacios Camins del Priorat is a vibrant, medium-bodied blend of Garnacha, Cariñena, Syrah, and Cabernet Sauvignon, reflecting a fresh, elegant style of Priorat with intense aromas of red cherry, raspberry, and crushed stones. Known for its silky texture, fine-grained tannins, and Mediterranean herb notes, this 2023 vintage offers a balanced, mineral-driven finish

  • Aroma: Lifted and expressive, featuring ripe black cherry, pomegranate, and red bramble fruits, complemented by Mediterranean herbs, violets, and a subtle, stony, or graphite mineral edge.
  • Palate: Juicy and,, fruit-forward with red fruits and a touch of cocoa or licorice. The 2023 shows a refined, elegant profile that is less about power and more about freshness and terroir.
