About Us

We created Dara because we wanted to build what we couldn’t find in Amman: a place where people can discover beautifully crafted wines and spirits from family-owned producers around the world, with great quality and accessible prices.

We spend much of our time traveling and building relationships with producers to directly source a unique collection of wines and spirits from around the world. Every bottle we bring to Dara is carefully selected to meet our standards for quality, character, and value. By sourcing directly, we’re able to offer our customers a thoughtfully curated selection, stored in excellent conditions and at great prices.

But Dara is more than a shop or a website. We built it as an information hub, a gathering place, and a space for discovery. Through our retail location, online store, tasting room, and restaurant, we create opportunities to explore new wines and spirits, learn about the people and places behind them, and find something you genuinely love.

We believe a great shop doesn’t simply sell bottles. It expands the way we think about where wine and spirits fit into our lives. Through our tastings, classes, events, dining experiences, and other experiences, we’re building a community around curiosity, discovery, and a shared appreciation for what’s in our glass.

Our shop also serves as the wine list for Dara Dining by Sara Aqel. You can choose any wine from our shelves and enjoy it in the restaurant at its retail price, with no additional fees, markups, or corkage. We created this policy to make it easy for our guests to explore a wide and carefully curated selection with confidence, in an inviting space and at the lowest price possible.
