Description
Col d’Orcia means the hill overlooking the Orcia River. The Orcia River marks the South West border of the Brunello di Montalcino territory in Tuscany. It is the mission of Col d’Orcia to produce the best possible wines that the exceptional combination of soil and climate of this part of Montalcino can achieve. Since 2010 the whole estate is run following exclusively organic agricultural practices.
This crisp and fresh white wine comes from the Orcia and Ombrone valleys alluvial terraces of Tuscany. It is made from 100% Pinot Grigio grapes that are manually harvested with rigorous selection of the bunches only in the early morning hours to avoid high temperatures.
Tasting Notes
Straw yellow with greenish hues. The bouquet is ample, complex and pleasantly fruited with the typical floral notes of the cultivar such as pear and white peach. It is fresh and sapid on the palate provided with a crisp acidity that makes it suitable for the hottest summer day.
Food Pairing
A beautiful poolside wine that pairs well with caeser salad, a club sandwich, any white meat and pasta dishes with tomato or white sauces.
