How to open a wine bottle? 

First, cut and then remove the foil around the neck using the small knife in the corkscrew or a foil cutter. Then use a corkscrew, and twist into the center of cork, make sure to twist it all the way in. Then use the lever to pull out straight up and slowly. For sparkling wine, once you remove the foil and cage, hold the cork in one hand and twist the bottle from the base with the order hand (not the cork) gently. The cork will pop on its own without any pulling.
