Viña Real Reserva is crafted from grapes grown in the heart of Rioja Alavesa, primarily from the towns of Laguardia and Elciego. The vineyards, with head-trained, unirrigated vines over 30 years old, thrive in calcareous soils with low yields.

Aged for 22 months in new French and American oak barrels, the wine is further matured in bottle for a minimum of 18 months to achieve complexity and balance.

The wine showcases a deep cherry-red color with a slightly brick-red rim. Its nose is rich and elegant, with aromas of black fruit preserves, licorice, cinnamon, vanilla, tobacco, and cocoa, all balanced by a subtle smokiness. On the palate, it is full-bodied, with mature tannins and a long, persistent finish that reveals spicy notes and a lingering fruitiness.

Pair with roast lamb, grilled meats, or mature cheeses.
