Description

Bakeder (pronounced back-aid-er) hails from Laguardia in Rioja Alavesa, with its name loosely translating from Basque as “beautiful as peace.” This wine celebrates the heritage and charm of the fortified medieval village, its historic vineyards, and its exceptional terroir.

Crafted from 30-year-old vines in the San Ginés and Castejones vineyards, grown at 550–600 meters on clay-limestone soils, Bakeder is aged for 10 months in French oak to enhance structure and complexity.

On the nose, it offers bright red fruits—strawberry, cherry, and raspberry—while the palate delivers silky texture, soft tannins, and a crisp, elegant finish. A youthful yet refined wine with aging potential.

Pairs beautifully with roasted duck, charcuterie, or grilled vegetables with herbs.

    • Faulty wines that have been opened must be returned within 2 days of opening, at which time we will offer you a replacement bottle of the same wine.
