Among the midrange are The Macallan’s Fine Oak expressions, which offer the unique characteristic of being “triple casked matured.” These whiskies are matured in sherry-prepared Spanish oak containers, as well as developed in sherry-prepared American oak barrels and whiskey-prepared American oak barrels. The outcome is an extraordinarily agreeable spirit. The Macallan 15-Year-Old is a prime example, exhibiting a complex cluster of notes, dominated by chocolate and cinnamon.

Tasting Notes:

Color: Rich Straw

Nose: Sublime and full with a hint of rose and cinnamon.

Palate: Intense rich chocolate with a hint of orange and raisin.

Finish: Lingering with a hint of chocolate, orange, and dried fruits.
