Spreewood - Batch 1 - 2 Year Old TBRC

2 Year Old rye spirit here from the Spreewood Distillery in Spreewald, Germany, released for That Boutique-y Rye Company's Rye Series! Spreewood was Germany's first rye distillery, founded back in 2004, and they're the folks behind Stork Club - hence the party happening on the label!

Tasting Notes

Nose: Cherry sweeties, popcorn, quite buttery at points. Earthy spices build.

Palate: Yet more earthy spices, now with clove and thyme. Still has plenty of red fruit sweetness, and a little hint of toffee, too.

Finish: Vanilla ice cream, spiced fruit compote and dry oak.
