Description

Redoma tinto is Niepoort’s original Douro wine, first released in 1991. It is like Douro: "extreme, with a rigorous character". Old north-facing vineyards from Quinta de Nápoles and Pinhão Valley form the basis of Redoma. Its main varieties are Tinta Amarela, Tinta Roriz and Touriga Franca.

Tasting Notes

A light purple color that contrasts with the explosive nose of crisp red berries that blends with the spices of black pepper and pink berries. It starts sharp on the palate and then develops on a slender, silky, and tasty body. A style that announces the traditional generosity of the Douro wines. The persistent and fragrant finish evokes cherry and truffle!
