Niepoort Nat Cool DOC Ivv Branco 2023 1L

Made from organically grown, indigenous varieties without chemicals, spontaneously fermented and not unnecessarily complicated by technology. Or is it more like Pét-Nat? It was bottled with a few grams of residual sugar, which is just enough to make it slightly sparkling when opened. Pouring it into the glass, it is opalescent, with cider-like, yellow apple, citrus, hazelnut flavours, and is rustic and dynamic, with a tart, spicy finish. Made from the Azal, Arinto, Avesso, Trajadura and Loureiro grape varieties. The aim was to revive a once-typical wine style in Vinho Verde. The fresh 2023 vintage brought a lighter, looser texture, as well as more citrusy, and subtly yeasty flavours than in the previous year.
