Neethlingshof Estate has a long and rich tradition of wine-making in Stellenbosch, the second oldest and most premier wine-producing area of South Africa. The Estate occupies an incredibly privileged site with ideal natural conditions, soils, slopes, altitudes and climate to produce a variety of great wines. All the grapes for the Neethlingshof wines are grown on the estate and all the wine is made, matured and bottled in the cellars of the estate. All our wines are also vegan-friendly.

Tasting Notes

A Malbec with a good, dark ruby colour. The nose is redolent of prunes and raisins with oak spices and dark chocolate in the background. The palate is rich and full with prunes and cherry flavours, supported by soft tannins. Like Argentinian Malbec but with unmistakable South African character.

Food Pairing 

A delicious all-rounder that will partner well with red and white meat dishes such as garlic and rosemary roast chicken and Beef Wellington. Also pairs well with vegetarian moussaka or spicy vegetable curry or even soft, pungent cheeses like blue cheese or gorgonzola.
