The Macduff distillery was founded in the 1960s and is kitted out with five stills, four of which have lyne arms that are rather oddly arranged, with one of the wash stills’ lyne arms being U-shaped too, just so they’ll all fit in the still room! They don’t release whisky themselves under their own name - they release it under the name The Deveron. This is why the name Macduff might be more familiar to you from Shakespeare’s play, ‘Macbeth’. We’ve even put one of the deleted scenes from the play on the label of our Macduff bottling. Press the stopper down to hear the director’s commentary from Shakespeare himself (probably a lie).

Tasting notes:

Nose: Dried fruit, milk chocolate and walnut whip with some waxiness and sweet floral notes. There’s hints of herbal tea and lavender

Palate: Chewy and mouth-filling, with dark fruits, a little citrus and toasted, integrated wood. A herbal note is retained among rich oak spice.

    • We offer store credit within 7 days of purchase, with the original receipt or proof of payment for unopened, undamaged products in the original packaging. Please note that we won’t be able to proceed without the original product being returned.
    • Faulty wines that have been opened must be returned within 2 days of opening, at which time we will offer you a replacement bottle of the same wine.
    • We do not offer refunds.
