Description
Moissons Single Rye joins the permanent range of Domaine des Hautes Glaces. Made from rye, this single rye whiskey with character comes from the blend of different plots of the Estate, aged and racked in a pyramid in French oak barrels. Made from double distillation over a wood fire, this vintage surprises and seduces above all with its fruit, spices, and minerality. A 100% rye malt bottling certified organic farming to respect this unique environment.
TASTING NOTES
Nose: initially fresh, airy, minty, the nose becomes saline (black olive) then gourmand (stone fruit, candied orange).
Mouth: the frank and woody attack gives way to a creamy body (gingerbread, grapes) which becomes denser and reveals an astonishing minerality.
Finish: long and full-bodied. The spices are powerful and complex (Vietnamese black pepper).
