Description

 Domaine Denis Carré is a new domaine by Burgundian standards. Denis Carré founded his estate in 1975 when he rented a parcel of vines and produced three barrels of Passetoutgrain. Each year thereafter, Denis worked to add vineyards and produce more wine, until he was able to build a winery and establish 13 hectares of his own vines spread over eight appellations. Today, his children, Marial and Gaetane, are running the domaine, looked over by Denis and his wife Bernadette. They produce 12 different wines from sustainably farmed vines, all of which are hand harvested. 

 

The Hautes-Côtes de Beaune Chardonnay really punches above its weight with a sophisticated, struck-match reduction on the nose, bright, succulent fruit in the middle and a fine, toasty mineral finish. Made from relatively young vines planted on limestone soils in the village of Meloisey, this is fermented and aged in oak barrels, giving a wonderful expression of fruit-focused Burgundian Chardonnay.

    • We offer store credit within 7 days of purchase, with the original receipt or proof of payment for unopened, undamaged products in the original packaging. Please note that we won’t be able to proceed without the original product being returned.
    • Faulty wines that have been opened must be returned within 2 days of opening, at which time we will offer you a replacement bottle of the same wine.
    • We do not offer refunds.
