Comte Lafond Sancerre Grande Cuvée 2024 is one of the finest Sauvignon Blancs from Sancerre and, without exaggeration, one of the most authentic expressions of Loire’s terroir! What sets it apart is its rich, luxurious character and its impressive aging potential.
The estate’s story begins in 1787, when Count Lafond acquired the Château from the daughter of King Louis XV. Since then, the family has continued with the same dedication and expertise, with today’s Baron Patrick de Ladoucette personally overseeing every stage of production—continuing the tradition of crafting truly exceptional wines.
For Comte Lafond Sancerre Grande Cuvée 2024, Sauvignon Blanc comes from the best vineyards in Sancerre, with soils rich in flint and limestone. Harvesting is done entirely by hand, and fermentation and aging take place in stainless steel tanks. The wine spends extended time on the lees with frequent bâtonnage, giving it rich texture and impressive complexity. It’s full-bodied, creamy, yet juicy and crisp—perfect to enjoy now or to cellar for up to five years, as it ages beautifully.

Tasting Notes
On the nose, it bursts with citrus aromas like lemon, citron, and bergamot, along with white peach. Notes of fresh-cut grass, gooseberry, raw almond, and wet stone gradually emerge.
On the palate, it’s elegant, full, and marked by vibrant acidity. Green notes mingle with citrus and hints of brioche, all set against a backdrop of pronounced minerality.
