Château Virecourt Conte is a family-run estate perched on the right bank of Bordeaux and situated on a clay and limestone plateau. It is within the appellation of Entre-Deux-Mers AOC but is a mere half-hour southeast of St-Émilion.  

Tasting Notes

The Chateau Virecourt-Conte displays a deep ruby color, hinting at the intensity and richness that awaits the palate. The aromas are inviting and complex, with notes of ripe raspberries, blackcurrants, and violets, intertwined with subtle hints of cedar, vanilla, and a touch of earthiness. 

On the palate, velvety smooth and well-structured, it presents a harmonious blend of dark fruit flavors. The blackberries and black currants take center stage, accompanied by notes of juicy cherries and a touch of spice. The finish is long and persistent, leaving a lasting impression of ripe fruit and a subtle hint of vanilla.

Food Pairing 

Pair this wine with hearty dishes such as roasted lamb, beef stew, or grilled steak. Alternatively, it can be enjoyed on its own.
