A 1995 Blair Athol single malt from indie bottler Douglas Laing, matured in a single sherry butt for a quarter of a century, before being bottled in December 2020 as part of its Xtra Old Particular series. 

One of only 276 hand filled bottles from one single Sherry Butt distilled in 1995 and matured for 25 long years before bottling at 57.9%.

Tasting Notes

This Blair Athol is 100% natural colour and is bottled with no chill-filtration, offering a nose full of rich spices and burnt brown sugar sweetness. The palate initially reveals honeycomb and barley before developing to peaches in syrup and ripe bananas. The finish is long and creamy, with apple peel and cinnamon.
