Description

This indie Speysider was distilled at Miltonduff back in April 1994, and filled into a single refill hogshead. It stayed in the single cask for a quarter of a century, until Douglas Laing bottled the whisky in August 2019. The hogshead yielded 285 bottles at 48% ABV, released for the ever-awesome Xtra Old Particular series.

Tasting Notes

On the nose, cooked pear, apple and rhubarb crumble, with honeyed cereal and damp oak. Banana and thick vanilla custard, with raspberry and white chocolate muffin, on the palate. Fresh buttery croissant, raspberry jam and spiced, stewed stone fruit finish.
