Description

A rare as it is delicious, this Speyside single malt is 21 years old and harks from Glenfarclas distillery. Distilled in 2002, the whisky matured in a single sherry hogshead for over two decades before being outturned to produce just 301 bottles. An extremely limited member of Glenfarclas distillery's much-adored Family Cask collection. Notes of toffee and currants. 

  • Nose: Notes of raisins, grape must, plums, cherries, orange peels, roasted aromas, hazelnuts, caramel, toffee, ginger, and herbs are reported.
  • Palate: Described as silky and creamy, with initial sweetness followed by spices, dark fruits, dark chocolate, espresso, liquorice, leather, tart wood, and white pepper.
  • Finish: Long, warming, and spicy, with notes of dark fruit, wood, chocolate, leather, tobacco, bitter wood spice, and hints of mint or menthol
