The Glenfarclas Family Cask No. 7066 (1999-2024) is a 24-year-old single malt matured in a refill sherry butt, bottled in August 2024 as part of the Summer 2024 release (53.9% ABV, 597 bottles). It is characterized by a "noticeable refill character" that highlights the distillery's fruity spirit rather than an aggressive sherry wood influence.

  • Nose: Rich and complex with notes of dried fruits (apricots, peaches), orange peel, and quince. It features a "refined herbal oiliness" with hints of white wine, polished oak, and vanilla.
  • Palate: Creamy, soft, and full-bodied, yet with substantial power at 53.9%. Notes of dried fruits (apricots, peaches) mix with a "sparkling oak spice" and bitter herbs, providing a good, balanced complexity.
  • Finish: Long, sweet, and spicy, featuring notes of dried apricots, peaches, and tart herbs, with a lingering pepper and old oak finish
