The Glenfarclas Family Cask No. 852 (4th Fill Butt) 1996 is a 26-year-old Highland single malt, released as part of the Summer 2022 Family Casks series. Distilled in 1996 and bottled on July 28, 2022, from a 4th-fill butt, this limited edition yielded 582 bottles at a cask strength of 55.4% ABV.

  • Colour: Rich amber with golden highlights.
  • Nose: Inviting aromas of dried fruits, orange peel, and subtle oak spice. Some reviews note a, creamy, gentle, and well-balanced profile with hints of pine resin.
  • Palate: Full-bodied and smooth, with layers of toffee, figs, and toasted nuts. There is a gentle sherry sweetness, with hints of dark chocolate and warming spice. Some notes of date and walnut cake, and a touch of earthiness may be present.
