Description
The Tibaldis are a family with generations in the Rocche del Roero. A passion for grape growing passed from father to son, and on to his son. But with no sons in the next generation, sisters Daniela and Monica have taken the reigns from their father Stefano, forging a new path. Farming close to 7 hectares of vineyards around the hilltop village of Pocapaglia where they live, and growing local Piemonte grape varieties Nebbiolo and Barbera as well as Arneis and Vermentino. They farm organically and do everything themselves, with some help in the vineyards from their father Stefano.
The sisters were born and raised breathing the love for viticulture, and their passion for growing and making wine is in their blood.
This 100% Nebbiolo represents all the nuances of the Roero territory in Northern Italy. From a single vineyard in the village of Santa Vittoria that looks at the Barolo zone across the Tanaro river on the other bank. A very pretty and sunny red.
Tasting Notes
Plenty of bright fruit on the palate, cherries and red fruits, well balanced tannins and a crisp, positive finish. Roero lies to the north of Alba, along the Tanaro River.
Food Pairing
It can accompany any meat. Gives its best with aged cheese, savory pasta and meat dishes.
