    Description

    This fresh Sicilian white wine is a collaboration between the Planeta and Oddo families,  French and a Sicilian winemakers combining 50% Sicilian Grillo grapes with 50% French Sauvignon Blanc grapes. The vineyards are in Sicily; is surrounded by woods, overlooking that part of the sea where in 1831, just for a few days, the Ferdinandean Island emerged from the waters. At the time French and Italians fought for this island, and now they make wine together!

    Tasting Notes

    Yellow color slightly tinged with sea green; on the nose the wine has scents of citrus, flint, chamomile and honey. It is soft with a great palate; balanced between the freshness of the Sauvignon and the greater structure of the Grillo with a long finish that shows te rich 10 month oak aging. 

    Food Pairing

    Sicilian white wines often pair wonderfully with a variety of seafood dishes. Consider pairing Serra Ferdinandea Bianco with grilled fish, seafood pasta, shrimp scampi, or seafood risotto. Also complements light pasta dishes with creamy sauces, such as pasta primavera or pasta with a lemon cream sauce.

    You can also simply pair it with a selection of cheeses, such as fresh cheeses like mozzarella or goat cheese, or semi-hard cheeses like Pecorino.

    In the event you would like to return a product -

    • We offer store credit within 7 days of purchase, with the original receipt or proof of payment for unopened, undamaged products in the original packaging. Please note that we won’t be able to proceed without the original product being returned.
    • Faulty wines that have been opened must be returned within 2 days of opening, at which time we will offer you a replacement bottle of the same wine.
    • We do not offer refunds.
