 Sancerre Rouge La Villaudiere, Jean-Marie Reverdy, Loire, France, 2020 

Grape: 100% Pinot Noir from 30-40 year old vines, 50/50 limestone with clay ("Terres Blanches") and stony limestone soil ("Caillotes"), 12 months in oak

This delicate red has lovely sweet fruit and undergoes judicious oak ageing. The wine has an elegant, almost floral character on the nose. The palate is fresh and has lovely raspberry fruit. 

Ideal food pairing with duck breast and mushrooms, roast turkey, or pan-fried sweetbread.
