Planeta Grappa di Eruzione 2021

The history of Mount Etna in Sicily is studded with the historic eruptions that have shaped it's terroir. The eruption of 1614, the namesake of this Grappa, is legendary, lasting ten years and the longest ever recorded. This grappa is made from the pomace of 100% Carricante grapes, the indigenous grape variety of this exceptional volcanic wine region. 

Tasting Notes

Clear, transparent, crystalline color. On the nose, very fine, persistent, ample and pure. With wild berry overtones. On the palate dry with a soft tone, warm and harmonious. 

Food Pairing

Usually enjoyed as a digestif by the Italians. Grappa is best enjoyed after a meal accompanied by fresh fruit such as  peaches, pears, apples, pineapple, and berries. It also pairs well with dessert.
