Planeta Etna Rosso 2020

The history of the volcanic Mount Etna is marked by the eruptions the form its soil. This wine is produced at Planeta's Feudo di Mezzo winery, situated in the heart of Etna viticulture. It is made from Nerello Mascalese grapes, and from the search for a modern expression of this noble grape variety cultivated in the unique and splendid terroir of Etna.

Tasting Notes

Vanilla, sour cherry, wild strawberry, a very clean flowery touch. Fleshy and smooth in the mouth. The fruit is made more complex with intrusions of undergrowth, myrtle and oriental spices. A wine which unexpectedly transforms itself with emerging and exciting notes of iron, rhubarb and black pepper.

Food Pairing

The versatility and body of this red wine permits it to accompany the simplest dishes, like pasta with tomato sauce, to the most complex, both meat and fish.
