Planeta Etna Bianco 2020

This wine is produced in Planeta's Feudo di Mezzo winery, lying in the center of Etna’s wine growing area. It is made from Mount Etna's very own indigenous white variety; Carricante and the grapes are partially fermented in barriques. This is the culmination of searching for an expression of this noble grape cultivated in the unique and splendid terroir of Etna.

Tasting Notes

The Carricante grapes from Etna always give us great satisfaction as the combination of black sand and altitude provide distinct aromas and three dimensional flavors. We find notes of white acacia flowers, fresh almonds and mountain peaches, on the palate it is juicy and full of yellow plums and prickly pear.

Food Pairing

Perfect with raw fish and fresh fruit, with fish appetizers, and soft cheese. Also a refined aperitif.
