Planeta Cometa Fiano 2021

The Planeta family started planting Fiano in the 1990’s, an ancient noble variety from Campania, and thus Cometa was born. This wine expresses the best, in an original and unique way, of the characteristics of this extraordinary vine. Cometa is a single-variety Fiano planted on lime chalk soils which contribute to the enhancement of the aromatic markers of Mediterranean herbs. With its intense and fruity aromas, Cometa's great structure and minerals make it one of southern Italy’s points of reference for white wine.

Tasting Notes

The notable herbal quality including thyme, delicate aromas of chamomile, and hay are complemented with mango and pomelo notes. The palate is vibrant with minerality. Then the rhythm changes to become slower and more harmonious. The finish presents a silky tactile sensation with a refined aftertaste of ripe apricot, almond flowers and basil flowers.
