Description
David Duband’s Vosne Romanée has the fruit and freshness of a top Burgundy. This wine is made using 50% whole bunch fermentations. After 17 days in vats, the wine is élevaged in oak (30% new) for 14 months. There is no fining or filtering.
15 barrels from 2 plots of vines located in “Les Barreaux” (about 90% of the blend) which borders Grand cru Richebourg and the great 1er cru Cros Parantoux, high on the slope above the village and from “Aux Ormes” (about 10% of the blend) which lies on the northern side of the village and further down-slope from Romanee St Vivant.
Tasting Notes
Exceptional complexity and depth for villages level and will age superbly. A fruity red wine with intense aromas of black fruits like redcurrant, cherry and plum and spicy vanilla touches. The palate is structured and it has a powerful, long finish.
