The 2019 Château Troquart Clos Saint-Jacques from Saint-Georges-Saint-Émilion is a well-structured, Merlot-dominant Bordeaux blend offering rich aromas of blackberry, blackcurrant, and plum, with earthy hints of leather and cedar. On the palate, it’s full-bodied and balanced, with fine tannins and a long, elegant finish.

This wine pairs beautifully with roasted or grilled red meats, game, lamb dishes like tagine or marinated shoulder, and rich poultry preparations such as duck. Best served slightly cool (around 14–15°C), it can be enjoyed now or cellared for a few more years to evolve further.
