An inescapable name among wine lovers, the vintages from Pavie Macquin have distinguished themselves with magnificent wines that have an aromatic purity and an exceptional scope on the palate.
Tasting Notes
The blend consists of Merlot (80%), Cabernet Franc (18%), and Cabernet Sauvignon (2%). The Château Pavie Macquin 2015 reveals the character of the exceptional terroir that combines the power of clay with the typical minerality of limestone. Flamboyant and opulent, the charm of the aromatic bouquet opens from the very first moments with black fruit and plum notes and then gives way to sensual spicy notes and delicate floral fragrances.
On the palate, the mouthfeel is harmonious with intense purity and freshness. The voluptuous concentration dances on the palate and coats it with silky tannins. This powerfully unfolds to give a mineral stretch until the finish that ends with freshness.
