Zestos Tinto Old Vine Granacha 2020

Zestos is made up of 100% Garnacha, from a vineyard located in a high elevation district giving it levity and freshness. What is more, the vines were planted between 1960 and 1970 and grown upon beds of granite and sand. The wine is fermented and aged in stainless steel and cement with no oak to express the silkiness of the old vines.

Tasting Notes

Vivid ruby-red. Aromas of ripe red and dark berries, and candied flowers that are complemented by a smokey mineral nuance. Sappy black raspberry and cherry flavors show lovely depth as well as energy. Silky and appealingly fruity, finishing with sharp focus and soft tannins that fold into the wine’s juicy fruit.

Food Pairing

It's a perfect introduction to Spanish wine and pairs well with a wide range of food from tapas to pizza. This is an excellent wine to sip without food, as well. Try it with an aged manchego or aged Parmigiano-Reggiano.
